In brief
This website works without analytics or advertising services: no tracking, no profiling, no advertising cookies. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from our own server; no third-party content is embedded. We process personal data only where operating the website requires it or where you provide data to us yourself.
Visiting the website
Each time a page is requested, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code, the page visited previously, and the browser and operating system. Without this data the website cannot be delivered or protected against attacks and faults.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log data is not combined with other data and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.
Contact form and email
If you write to us using the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide – name, email address and the content of your message – in order to handle your enquiry. The form sends the details to our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and delivers them to us as an email.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in replying). Providing the details is voluntary, but without a name and email address we cannot reply. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention duty applies.
Protected area (intranet)
The “Intranet” area is reserved for employees and authorised business partners. When you log in, we process the user name and password as well as the time and technical data of the login in order to protect access (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). Authorised users receive separate information about processing within the intranet.
Links to other websites
Instagram and Google Maps are included as plain links, not as embedded content. Data is passed to these providers only when you click such a link; from then on their privacy policies apply.
Recipients of data
We do not sell data or pass it on for advertising purposes. Access is given to technical service providers we use for hosting and email, who act as processors on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR), and to bodies to which we are legally required to disclose data. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15),
- have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16),
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
- withdraw consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
To exercise these rights, simply write to info@bmge.pt.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example where you live. The authority responsible for our registered office is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134 – 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, Portugal, www.cnpd.pt. For the German establishment: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
